Awareness of women about the family planning methods it important to increase the quality of life and promote the health of women and their children, Moreover, the studies have been conducted in different contraries starting from foreign countries to the Arab countries include Saudi Arabia to explore the awareness and knowledge of women toward family planning methods. According to these studies, we found that the awareness about use of family planning methods effected by many factors such as the level of education, employment, age of women's, exposure to the mass media, living in rural or urban area, socio-economics status there are many reasons as to why women do not use the family planning methods. These reasons include; limited access to transportation in order to access health clinics, lack of education and knowledge and opposition by one or both partners, families or communities. Although a good number of the women knew about the family planning method but they did not know about the specifics such as period of safeguard and returning of fertility.
