According to the research of Papachristos (2009 ) “one-neighborhood or one-gang” approach, there are the “variation in violent acts under different neighborhood conditions.” (Papachristos_2009 )
Conclusion: All this can explain that some of the neighborhood are to offer more compared to the others, on the plan of criminal activities, and that some gangs are more structured, based on their positioning and physical location as well. Which mean for me that there is a direct connection between the structure of gang and the involvement into the gang activities including more violent behavior by its members. Like stated by researchers :” the better organized the gang is for crime, the more productive its members will be.” (Bouchard and Spindler_2010 ) I also believe that the poverty and family unsatisfaction isn 't the only reason of the decision to join a gang and are not the unique explanation of strong gang involvement. For some members, the reason to join and maintain the high level of involvement can be explained by the “family
