An average elector of the party currently in the government has a primary, secondary or vocational education. Most of the electorate over 60 also decided to vote for the conservative party . Like mentioned before the lack of education can also be seen in different areas such as economics and knowledge about the world. The lack of good average education level creates a society which struggles with the crucial skill in todays’ world, critical thinking. This creates a population easy to manipulate and allows officials to benefit from their lack of understanding. The polish educational system does not encourage students to critical thinking. When students question the teacher’s word many times they are convinced that they are wrong without a clear and satisfying explanation why. Such things also affect the way in which the Bible in Poland is interpreted. As most of the population does not read the Bible, what priests say during the homilies is taken literally. As we know man who become priests in a country such as Poland usually have very conservative views and such views are passed on in church. The lack of critical thinking does not allow much of the population to separate the priest’s views and the things literally stated in the Bible. Religion is the subject with the 6th most hours of lessons during the whole education of students in Poland . It is not a mandatory subject but if a parent wishes the child not to take catholic teachings, they need to take lessons of ethics. Although this is true in reality many schools do not hire an ethics teacher. If such education is required than a teacher of a different subject comes in and takes the spot. Of course this means the quality of the lessons is low compared to the way in which catholic lessons are taught. Such lessons in America do not take place and if parents want a child to learn about his or hers religion in depth than things such as Sunday schools are implemented as the opportunity for kids. Such subjects are not a part of curriculum in America due to the big variety of religions in the country. The current situation of even young generation choosing the more conservative parties can be seen as the outcomes of such large amounts of religious studies in school. Since the students do not experience much of other religions they do not face other values.
