The world is full of diverse people. The living world changes everyday. It is apparent that everyone is subjected to the law and deserves to be treated equally; yet people are not accepting toward one another. Sexual orientation is a major controversial affair. Many people in my audience may not be aware that gay rights express a misconception; but it is important to have an open mind and learn more. Attitudes have varied in different cultures and societies. Some people may fully support and accept the idea of natural human rights as others might discriminate toward gay rights and same-sex marriages. According to Christianity and biblical scripture, Christians believed homosexuality went against their religion. “If a man lies with a man as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death” (Leviticus 20:13). This influence is considered sinful and even within marriage, the indicated conception converted into secular law. Despite the diversity of religious views concerning homosexuality and same sex marriages, some religions show mercy and openly welcome equal opportunity. For example, in 2011 the public religion institute did a research about gay rights and same sex marriages. They found a decent percentage of Catholics and Christians favored the idea of antidiscrimination laws and same-sex marriages. You could easily assume that many religions sanctify to discriminate and don’t support the idea of homosexuality. Thus the laws and religious beliefs, draws back to history which shows how perspectives have changed in the progression of today. We live in a different time frame that does not excuse the people who may not share those same beliefs or religions. The world today claims unity and equal opportunity to
