The male moose are called bulls and the females are cows. Moose can be 7 feet tall at the shoulders. These animals have a stubby tail and skinny legs. Their legs have a hard time holding up their body weight. Moose are the largest member of the deer family. The biggest bulls can weigh nearly a ton! A ton is as much as a van which is about 2000 pounds! That's why they spend a lot of their time in water. Under their chin is a piece of skin that is called a bell.
Moose live in the forests of Northern Russia. They also live in Alaska's Rocky Mountains.
