A lot of people really have no idea what it really takes to get something accepted without any drama. When it comes to GMO it is all over the board with acceptance. There are some people that are for GMO and they accept them for what they are. There are also some people that are in the middle of acceptance, this means that they have no idea which way to go. And last but not least there are the people that just don’t accept them at all. As one will see in this paragraph it will be shown there are many issues with acceptance and there are many people that don’t accept GMO at all. Now let’s first discuss how or why people don’t accept them. According to Andrej Šorgo he states “people are either angry, fear, or just plain scared about it” (Sorgo 2). This actually comes as no surprise with all the negative impacts and the lack of research out there for GMO. Here in the states it makes it very hard for the acceptance since people don’t have a lot of knowledge about this since frankly it hasn’t been provided to the actual public. Sorgo and his fellow colleagues did a study where they took people from all different backgrounds and gave them a questionnaire about GMO. Not only is there great things about it that ultimately could stop world hunger in other parts of the world, but there are also many things that are wrong about it as well. There are many things that need to be taken care of with this product before it’s too late and there will be no acceptance of this product at all. Also it was shown that there are many struggles when it comes to trying to get everyone to accept this product when there is no data and there is bad impacts that many people are scared about.
