The Original Ghostbuster

When the original “Ghostbusters” released in 1984, writers Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, as well as producer Ivan Reitman had no doubt that it would be great but had no idea that it would sell a million times over, becoming a famous worldwide franchise. It was the most successful film in America that year and one of the most successful comedies of the eighties (en.wikipedia.org). It is one of the most classic iconic films of its time and that’s probably why there are so many “Ghostbuster” fans in the world. “Ghostbusters” is also known for its one-liners and dry humor. It wasn’t until after the death of Harold Ramis, who played Dr. Egon Splenger, and an original Ghostbuster, the plans for the reboot wouldn’t be produced and released until 2016. Slimer is the most popular ghost in the original and it was the best addition to the remake. Not only was Slimer in the newest “Ghostbusters”, there was a female Simer, portraying as Slimer’s girlfriend. The two evil masterminds behind it all, is an extraterrestrial ancient Sumerian God named Gozer in the original, and a mad extraterrestrial enthusiast in human form named Rowan North, that designs a portal to flood the city of countless apparitions to destruct and kill the people of New York in the reboot. Later on, he kills himself by electrocution and becomes one himself, turning into what resembles the “Ghostbusters” logo. He is bigger and stronger than the Stay Puft Marshmallow man who reveals as the last destructor in the original. The Ghostbusters defeat Rowan and all his evil specters by reversing the portal and sucking them back into the unknown. The Stay Puft Marshmallow man is defeated by the Ghostbusters crossing streams of their guns and blowing him into a liquefied pile of melted marshmallow on the streets and buildings of New York
