The Original James Bond's Ian Flemings

The original James Bond introduced in Ian Flemings books gives a certain appeal and attracts the reader into who the character is and the world he lives in. Bond also has a certain sex appeal to himself. Whether Ian Fleming wanted this appeal to take on a life of its own is another topic all together. Bond gives readers seeking spy fiction all the elements they could ask for. "They needed to show that this did not denote the demise of the gentleman, that symbol of traditional values and the lynchpin of the existing order." (Stafford, 507) Flemming gave enough details that Bond was a gentleman and this carries on throughout the entire Bond franchise.
