the passion of the christ reflects the key aspects of the christian message through taking about the ten commandments (listed below from the NIV study bible), as by justifying his nature to defy the lawmakers (jewish leaders and romans). in the film it shows that he is violently beaten to death (almost) and then through on his cross to die for our sins.
