When the police officers are well trained and had experience, they will not hesitate in a real life situation and handle it with confidence. Practice makes perfect and we should require our police department to be perfect. When an officer is deployed into a situation multiple times, they will be confident with it by time.
6. No quality is more indispensable to a policeman than perfect command of temper; a quiet, determined manner has more effect than violent action. Lately on the news we have been reading about police officers that lost control and shot an unarmed suspect or killed a young teenager. Those officers panicked and were nervous at the time and just reacted in irrational quick way. If the officer doesn’t have control over their temper they will react in ways that they don’t understand and can’t explain later on in court. A violent person is a person that is uneducated and doesn’t know how to react so they lose their temper. If our police officers are well trained, there will be no room for panic because they are well aware of the situation and how to handle it.

Let me explain, if the officer doesn’t continue with their training throughout the years they didn’t gain any new knowledge. If it took them one year to learn the job, that means they only have one year of experience that they repeated for multiple years.
