The Preamble, one of the most well known writings, gives an introduction to the United States Constitution. Stating the purpose of the Constitution, this document gives the power to every citizen of America, unique compared to any other document written at the time. In addition to giving power to the “everyday man”, this paragraph obligates the government to protect the people, create justice and peace.
