The Pros And Cons Of The Middle Tyger Christmas Shop

Decent Essays
I would say that shopping for the Middle Tyger Christmas Shop impacted me the most. We, Leadership Byrnes, and other faculty raised money to be able to go shop for children this christmas. These kids are usually born into families that are not as fortunate as we are, or do not put their children's actual needs first. We went to Walmart and bought clothes, shoes, and toys for children of various ages. Middle Tyger changed the way they were doing their Christmas this year. Usually you would sign up for a specific child. This year they did a completely different thing. It was split into age groups. I feel like this way had both its pros and cons. By doing it like this, we had to shop for more diverse sizes and toys that would best fit the age

Task 1 The issue that had the biggest impact on me was racism. It was terrifying to see how quickly people became abusive against non-violent protestors. A lot of that hatred came forth just because of the colour of the protestors skin. Racism has been a big part of modern society and is still a very active discussion subject. One thing that was addressed in the movie is brutality against African-American people, and that is still an issue today.…

Four terrorist attacks, which targeted United States landmarks to destroy them, all lead by the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaueda.…

An S.E.E. that affected my values is the bombing and gunfire attack that occurred in Jakarta, Indonesia. This event certainly hit me hard because it happened in my hometown, within the area where most of my family and friends lives. It specifically happened nearby a shopping center; one that I would often go to with my family and friends. At least 7 people died and many others were seriously injured. When I heard the news, I was completely shocked and saddened but grateful at the same time.…

I payed the surprisingly cheap entrance fee at the gift shop counter and continued on into the museum. The museum itself is expansive at least in information. The basic structure of the exhibits is to present a diorama or historical artifact on its chosen time period with a paragraph text on sheets of paper of varying sizes. Other more comprehensive information that couldn’t be summed up in relation to a visual aid were put on sheets of paper pasted onto semi-bulletin board stands and were written like printed-out high school essays.…
