In1917 Russia a rocky country and not very stable. They were unable to accommodate with Tsar Nicholas II having just been over thrown and were in desperate need of help. The second revolution developed the Marxist Bolsheviks who were a communist party that looked to gain more freedom and justice for themselves. The Russians exhibited many internal problems while trying to establish the country. Russia was also struggling to find a strong political leader and government system that could provide guidance and bring the country together. Communism was a new emerging idea thought of by Karl Marx. He had originally wanted a class war that led to a society where all property is publicly owned and each person’s work is paid according to their abilities. In Russia two groups formed, the Bolsheviks and the Mensheviks. The Bolsheviks had an extensive following from middle class working farmers, and the Mensheviks worked with Vladimir Lenin to form a Socialist Democrat party. In India nationalism was tested when Britain controlled the country and gaining independence was their common goal. Mohandas Gandhi rallied people to participate in nonviolent protests which brought the country closer together. With World War II new creations of political parties and ideas, such as totalitarianism and fascism were formed. Totalitarianism looked to control all aspects of life such as property, private lives and mortality. Fascism was the idea that the state or government was more important than one person. These two ideologies brought an extreme way of nationalizing resulting in citizens sacrificing their basic human rights in order to help their country grow. Germany was a growing concern during World War II because of their newfound leader: Adolf Hitler. Germanys dreadful actions only proved to other nations how crazy a leader Hitler was and the lack of unification in the country. The holocaust was devastating as Hitler sought to disregard a whole portion of Germany by allotting all his efforts to exterminate the Jewish race. The "Final Solution" placed all the blame for the Great Depression on Jewish people, alluding that with them gone the majority of Germany’s problems would be solved. Japan was also another country that showed authority and demonstrated fascism by carrying out the Mukden Incident and the Rape of Nanking. Each of these countries showed extreme fascism and non-unity by presenting efforts to eradicate certain groups of
