The Black Plague was the worst disease in human history. The Black Plague was nicknamed the black death because at its worst times many people described it as a black cloud of death that was not avoidable(Dobson). The black plague killed 30% of the population of Europe(Dobson). The black plague changed the world and even sources of power(Dobson). Anyone who had any sort of symptoms was immediately placed in quarantine with a bunch of other sick people(Benedict). This meant that even if they were not sick with the Black Plague, they would for sure get it. Many people were punished because they hid from the public and had the black plague(Dobson).
Many people got better hygiene which was a major factor to ending the spread of the black plague. Because many people passed away, people started to work on their hygiene. This meant they needed to wash their hands more often and take baths more often(Dobson). If someone didn’t have a bathroom then they needed to wash their hands even more, this was new or not normal for many people who never, or rarely washed their hands(Benedict).
