Lady Macbeth went from looking forward to seeing her husband to convince him to kill Duncan to be king since the witches were right about him becoming “Cawdor,” to becoming mentally distraught (1.5.406). It began when Macbeth started keeping everything from her causing her to replay the killing of Duncan in her sleep repeating “wash your hands, put on your nightgown; look not so pale” (5.1.2184-2185).
