Boo Radley saves the kids as Bob Ewell tries to jump them and hurt the kids it wasn’t as dramatic in the movie because Jem and Scout cared a lot more about Boo in the book because they even made up a game about him. Jem receives the same things in the tree in the movie, but only Jem gets them not Jem and Scout. These were kept in the movie because they wanted to show that you shouldn’t judge people by their cover like Boo because he was actually a good person.
In the book Tom Robinson only has a baby arm. I feel like he didn’t have a baby arm in the movie because they could find a Negro man with a crippled arm. In the book Dill is taken care of by his aunt Rachel but in the movie Stephanie takes care of Dill.
In the movie Judge Taylor went to Atticus house and asked Atticus if he wanted to take Tom’s case. Jem, Scout, and Dill go to the courthouse and Atticus catches them at the courthouse and makes them go home. I feel like that they included these parts in the movie because they wanted to make Tom’s case a bigger deal. During the court case in the movie since Tom doesn’t have a baby arm in the movie he has to throw a glass to show that his arm is crippled? Atticus did this because in the movie you couldn’t tell that his arm was crippled by just looking at it.
