No ethical man could abandon something who he had just given life to just because of its hideous exterior. We eventually learn in Chapter 11, Page 87, just how difficult life had been for the creature. Without a guide to show him how to properly navigate this complex and unfeeling world, his creation turned bitter. Even today, if you were to release a child out into this harsh and unfeeling world, they would either die or be so hardened by the world that their innocence is lost forever. Because of the creatures abandonment, it turned into the cold-hearted killer that we observed throughout the book. How can someone with ethics abandon a life and throw it at the mercy of the world when he knew it would not except the creature. He understands what he did was wrong and when against everything we as a society stand for. He warns Walton in Chapter 4, Page 43, to not make the same mistakes he had made. At this point, Victor may have realized the error of his ways and where his ambition led him. Arrogance and hunger for knowledge was all that was shown throughout the book in Victor; however, on his deathbed, Victor made a new discovery. He realized how unethical and selfish he had been throughout his life; however, he was too late. Through the creation of the creature, Victor realizes the wrong he has done in his life, and has regret for not realizing it
