All over the world communities are being polluted, the air and the water are becoming more and more toxic. Although it may seem as there is no way to fix it, there is a way. Most pollution is created by peoplem, and if we can change some of our ways we could save the world. These anthropogenic sources although a problem are still being built and used causing all the pollution. Removing or decreasing these anthropogenic sources like factories, cars, planes, or aerosol cans, can decrease the amount of pollution in the air and water. In Utah air pollution is a big problem, becasue of the amount of factories here. Although we know why our air is so polluted not much is being done about it now. If we were to reduce the amount of production at oil factories here in Utah but in other places as well, we could change the Earth's future. In the National Geographic Society: Air Pollution article it says "Sometimes, mountains or tall buildings prevent air pollution from spreading out." This is really common here in Utah since we are in what most people call a bowl since we are surrounded all 360 degrees by mountains. In class we did a lab in which we filled a cup with rocks and in the middle placed a tube making sure it touched the bottom of the cup. Then we poured wated in with droplets to represent rainfall, then we dropped some food dye which represented pollution and when we added water it was just spread. As we kept adding water (rain) and removing (daily use of water) the pollution (all though it took a while) was for the most part removed. We can reduce water pollution by not throwing our waste is lake or rivers. Reducing water pollution will take some time, so in the mean time we can reduce the amount of the time we use to water our grass, the amount of time in shower and other small things like
