According to the 2013 study performed by DeStefano F. from the American Academy of Pediatrics, where a controlled experiment was conducted amongst 1,000 children who received “increased exposure to antibody-stimulating proteins and polysaccharides in vaccines”, there were absolutely no traces of ASD in the children nor would the children be at risk to such mental disorders. A 2010 case study performed by Michael Smith and Charles Woods, who are also from the AAP, on the post effects of vaccinations with the dependant variable being age. In their study it was discovered that children that were given vaccinations upon an earlier age had a “better performance” rather than children who did not receive any vaccinations. These results led to Smith and Wood’s conclusion that vaccinations provided at a young age did not negate a child's performance but positively affected it instead. Even if a child were to develop any mental disorders during the time they were being vaccinated, there is countless studies showing that genetics and other environmental attributes are the main cause to these dysfunctions. In addition, there is no supported evidence that vaccinations can cause genetic or birth malfunctions when an adult reproduces. Furthermore, a case study performed by researchers of the …show more content…
The researchers also concluded that vaccines associated with MMR immunisations had no correlations to significant mental disorders such as: autism, crohn's disease, or leukemia. Although, it is true that vaccines can cause fatal allergic reactions, but it is very uncommon for an allergic reaction to occur and it is only considered fatal if the reaction is not caught in time. Usually an allergic reaction occurs almost instantaneously after the vaccine is given, and the issue is professionally resolved, just like any other allergic
