I think it is excellent that she stands up for what she believes and doesn’t let anything stop her. I think it is great that she has found a way that kindergarteners can write so well. I really like her ability based groups during writing. I think this is a good idea to build students social skills as well because they can collaborate with the students at their table. I can also see how this could be bad if I don’t have good classroom management I think this is something that lacks in some classrooms. Some teachers don’t want to deal with trying to teach them to write or don’t know how. As a future teacher, I need to be aware of this and be sure I am not finding myself guilty of not pushing my students to their fullest potential. I need to strive to help students meet their ZPD.
