• Gender is a variable because the study started out with a little girl than went to a young boy. Activity could be a variable because it can change throughout the study: television to video games, video games to television, television to playing outside/inside, and etc.
• A goal of the program (intervention) is a dependent variable (For nine weeks, University of Buffalo will monitor the children’s activity to see how different activities affect their weight: the children will remain their normal activity, than children will increase television and video games time rather than physical activity, afterwards they will increase physical …show more content…
This study would provide reliable information to how we can monitor children’s physical activity and electronic activity, so that we can prevent over eating and over exercising. Therefore, there are many different aspects of the study that would be very useful in social work practices today.
• How has socioeconomic constraints affected an individual’s motives towards drinking and nondrinking?
• Dependent variable is goal of intervention (raising the prices on alcohol to see if that socioeconomic constraint affects individuals to drink or to not drink). A socioeconomic constraint is the dependent variable.

• Individual’s motives towards drinking and nondrinking can be operationalized by a reason for a male or female to consume or not consume …show more content…
By using the diagram, we can see the aspects of all socioeconomic constraints.
• I believe that my study would be a useful component of program evaluation because the method I used for collecting, analyzing, and using information would help answer any question pertaining to the study. The effectiveness of this study is outstanding. All individuals searching for information about how social and economic factors can affect the motives of drinking or not drinking are very logical. Also, the diagram helps provide all information to all questions presented, and shows what aspects make up each component.
• As I have spent some time with group designs, I feel more comfortable and knowledgeable about constructing my own research. Also, while researching many different groups you can understand their values of how they feel about a certain intervention, belief on if it is effective or not, and much more. As I use this design, I can document what has happened over a period of time, which will help determine the components of many different beliefs, behaviors, and personal values. Also, as a social worker, I have the ability to see rather the interventions provided for the client has been effective or not, and how I can change the outcome if the intervention has
