Violent video games do not affect people in negative ways. Recently many people have been doing tests to see if video games are making people, mainly teenagers, act out in more violent ways. When video games affect one’s behavior, it is called “priming”. Although video games have become more violent over the years, video games do not make teenagers act out more cruelty because data collected from tests show no change, some psychologists believe it actually reduces poor decisions, and today almost all young males are playing video games yet they are not all acting out.

In the article Do Video Games Lead To Violence?, the author quoted Chris Grady, a survivor of the February fourteen shootings at Douglas High School in Florida, Chris says, “I grew up playing video games ... first-person shooter games, and I would never, ever dream of taking the lives of any of my peers." If video games is the issue causing it’s players to take lives, then why aren’t all of them acting that way. Yes, the article also says that an eighteen year old gunman that killed nine people in Munich, Germany was a fan of first person shooting games, but there is no proof that it was the cause of him doing such a horrific act. So, video games may not be the complete cause for violence, people just may want something to blame.
Video games do not cause violence in it’s players. There is no data that show positive results, some professionals actually think it keeps players from violence, and if video games primed you to make worse decisions than everyone would be that plays video games would be making those decisions. It is time to watch out for people, in their behaviors and actions, not just take video games away and hope that was the
