Walt Disney Is My Hero

Walt Disney is my hero because he takes risks even when he knows the consequences. When Disneyland was first thought of it, it was supposed to cost only around 5 million dollars, where in the end it costed 17 million dollars and almost putting Walt Disney Co. out of business. Walt Disney took the risk of putting his own animation company out of business in order to create Disneyland. During Disney 's uprise they had a character called Oswald The Lucky Rabbit, he was the Mickey Mouse of the 1930s. Oswald was ‘stolen’ from Disney by Universal Studios due to legal reasons. Although the Disney company lost one of their major characters Walt Still proceed to make a new character names Mickey Mouse. “Walt learned from this loss and went on to create another successful character”. Even though Walt knew that Charles Mintz owned Oswald he went onto make a parody character. (ThisDayInDisneyHistory.com)
Due to the success of the Disney company Walt decided to create an Amusement Park. The idea that Walt has in mind was not Six Flags : Magic Mountain, he wanted a fully immersive theme park that people of all ages can enjoy. Although we hear sound during most cartoons, and mostly don 't notice the background music in most TV shows and YouTube videos, it 's there and without the mind of Walt Disney your favorite cartoon character may have not had a voice. Although sound synced up with characters movements didn 't come until later, loops of songs such as the song from “Steamboat Willie” called “The Gallopin’ Gaucho”, it was played on loop for the duration of the short film. The term ‘Mickey Mousing’ was used when a cartoon was perfectly synced up with it 's soundtrack. This was because “Steamboat Willie” was considered to be synced up perfectly.
