The growth and improvements made during the Industrial Revolution all started with the British textile industry outgrowing the putting-out system. New inventions became available to replace the putting-out system, but these machines were too large to operate at home like its predecessors, resulting in the establishment of the first factories. These factories were a huge turning point in history as they completely changed the way goods were manufactured and transported.
