Imagine waking up to a phone call at 3am, you pick it up and it was the doctor from the hospital,he is calling to let you know your son has been in a terrible car accident due to drunk driving,due to the crash he is in serious condition and you and your husband had to come down now. You're so scared but so mad at him for drinking and driving, your so shaky your husband drives for you,rushing to the hospital. As you step out of the car you're walking so fast you're practically running towards the entrance your husband tries to keep up to you,you run to the front desk demanding the nurse to give you the information on your sons where abouts your husband trying to calm you down and reassures you he's okay .The nurse then informs you two that you can not see your son at this moment. Confused and scared you both ask why not.the nurse has a sorry look on her face, she tells you the doctor is on his way to speak to you, waiting so scared what he has to tell you both your husband is holding you and is telling you everything is going to be ok. Some people who drink don't have a way home or someone to drive so they do it them self which can lead up to injury or even death and that is not good. Most people if they drink they can't stop and it becomes an addiction which can cause them to be abusive or just hurting them self with all that alcohol going into their body. Designating a driver is a very popular tactic to avoid drinking and driving. It is important to plan in advance, because your brain function will slow down and your decision making skills will be impaired once you start drinking.
