Before I would just type a paper and get my thoughts out. Then have a peer look over it and edited it, and fix then turn it in. I didn’t think to proof read or read my paper out loud to myself until read “ The Maker’s Eye: Revising Your own Manuscripts” by Donald M. Murray. This was one of my favorite articles that we read. Murry said “The writer must learn to be their own best enemy. They must accept the criticism of others and be suspicious of it; they must accept the praise of others and be even suspicious of it”. That stuck with me the whole course, I was sacred to let other students peer edit my paper. I would think back to this quote and reread may paper before we did peer read. One of my biggest victory this semester asking for help, getting help, and my essay four. Because I took my time with that essay and had three people look over it and got they thoughts, opinion about it. I was proud and felt like that was my best essay that I turn in this semester. The hardest task for me this semester was the interview essay. because my interviews was taking long to reply back to my emails, so I had to make a last minute call to my high school and interview somebody that was in my minor and not my major. I personally think if we were told like two more weeks ahead from the date it was given, I would have gotten my interview.
