Poem Analysis: Independance By Monica Alvarez

Romance. Independance. Change. Assuming that, they were obsessed with falling in love, and wanted to make their dream come true. Whether they wanted to be independent and still maintain money. Assuming that there life was going to change forever when something happens in their life that will change forever. Individuals are driven to undertake missions because of love, Self reliance, and life changing situations. Monica Alvarez from Ready for Marcos, she wants to get used to having her little brother because she’s never had one, In other words she’s been an only child her whole life. Monica wants also wants time to herself, but also wants to help out with Marcos. To clarify in the text it states, “ Three days ago her parents brought her new brother home, but she hadn’t thought about how her life would change.” In other words Monica’s life is going to change forever. Monica wants time so she could be able to do her own things. To clarify in the text it states, “ Monica turned and walked away back to her room. More responsibilities? She thought to herself.
