In the novel, religion is taken place by creating life, as in the story of “Paradise Lost” a life that was so hideous, and frightening, that even the eyes of the creator were so frightened he rejected his own living creation. Another way that women played a role in Frankenstein was that the creature had mentioned that he was never born of a woman and that he is alone in the world. He has never known the affection of a woman’s love. This is an indicator that the love of women is full filling and necessary. Some of the women that played a role in the novel were, Caroline, Justine, and Elizabeth. All the women were all classified as second class citizens. They characterized as possessions for men and served in a utilitarian function. Some were very passive, some very kind and gentle and inactive in nature. One important role which the women of the novel, play is through their virtue and innocence of the male characters, for the monster, woman shows him the blissful ignorance and immature innocence of the human kind. The monster only wanted one thing which
