On a very windy day, Sky Spirit sent his daughter to the Wind spirit to request a decrease in the wind. She was sent out with a warning not to look upon the horizon which she failed to heed. Hence she was taken away by the winds. After some time she was found by a grizzly bear and brought home to be raised alongside the bear cubs.
As the daughter grew up, she married a grizzly bear and that together they had children which led to her father the sky spirit cursing all the grizzly bears. Legend has it that the curse caused the Grizzlies to walk on four legs instead of two along with losing their ability to speak English.
After casting a curse on the Grizzlies, sky spirit took his daughter, and they disappeared never being heard from again.
