Who Is Leonardo Da Vinci A Good Artist

I like the artist Leonardo da Vinci. My favorite work of his is "Mona Lisa". I find it very intriguing, because he is a very good artist, and he pays good attention to details. Leonardo da Vinci was born in the year of 1452 in Anchiano, Tuscany (now Italy) and died in the year of 1519 in Cloux, France. Also his parents were never married (just like me), then at an early age his mother married another man and started a new family. Da Vinci never had an advanced education, he was only tought basic math, reading, and writing. But at the age of 15 he was apprenticed by Andrea del Verrocchio due to his artist abilities. In 1472 he was offered a membership from the painters' guild of Florence, but he turned them down and stayed with del Verrocchio until 1478, when he became an …show more content…
Later on he was asked to make a 16 feet tall equestrian statue made of bronze to honor the clan. But right when he had the clay model done, war broke out and the clay used for the statue was needed to make cannons and weapons to use in battle. In 1499 when Milan was invaded y the French he fled to possibly Venice first, then to Florence. Two of da Vinci's most well known paintings are "The Last Supper" and "Mona Lisa". "The Last Supper" was made in the time about section of about 1495-1498. "Mona Lisa" was made in about the time section of 1503-1506. In 1506 he moved back to Milan for 7 years then he moved to Rome for 3 more. In 1516 he moved from Italy for good, and went to France due to a very generous offer from French Ruler Francis 1. When he died he was buried at a church called "Saint-Florentin". He died at the age of 67. When I first saw the painting of Mona Lisa I liked it from the get go.
