There are many beliefs that video games cause violence in youths. Those people who say those things are wrong. They are dead wrong because of the reasons given.
Much of the research done to investigate the matter has been a failure. First, in 2008, 97% of youth ages twelve to seventeen played video games while two thirds of them played an action game with violent content. On the other hand, more than half the parents wonder about the effect that video games have on their child. Also, the exposure to violent media an sometimes contribute to real life violent behavior. Video games may also have an effect on people with ASD (Steve). That is because people are active processors of their environment or the things around them. Furthermore, when there is an advertisement on tv they don't necessarily lead us to purchase the product in the same way that games don't make people be violent. Studies have also found there is a correlation with media and violence but they don't list other factors about the persons life. There is no casual link between video games and violence. Finally, every court has said that there is insufficient evidence to say there is a link (Richard).
On the other hand, some people say that video games do cause violence in youths. They are wrong because while crime rate has went down video game sales have went through the roof. They are also wrong because games promote morality and ethics in those who play them. There are too many reasons that they are wrong to put them all down. In addition, they have tried to keep younger kids from getting them by keeping younger kids from getting them by getting them by making systems in which minors can't purchase mature games. Also, on another note parents can hardly be a compelling state interest
