Early intervention in the elementary schools shows tremendous improvement. Studies are showing that students that struggle with reading in the 4th or 5th grade have a high chance of choosing to drop out of school. Reading books improves literacy rates and prevents dropouts. “As for the girl, there was a sudden desire to read it that she didn't even attempt to understand. On some level, perhaps she wanted to make sure her brother was buried right.
