JROTC has always focused on teaching young people citizenship/ be better citizens. Its goals have also been the same since the begging. Some of the goals JROTC have are to “Act with integrity and personal accountability as they lead others to succeed in a diverse and global work force” (http://www.usarmyjrotc.com/jrotc-program/jrotc-program-information). JROTC does have more goals but many believe that today, even before, that it was used to get people to enlist but it really isn’t. JROTC is now in most High schools because of how well it teaches its cadets and that it teaches things we need for our lives.…

Joining the National Honors Society is a great opportunity for anyone looking to excel in life. The N.H.S. was established to recognize students with good qualities in leadership, character, and service. In addition to this the N.H.S. helps students recognize their potential and helps them become more involved in their communities. I think I would be a good addition to the National Honor Society because I am hardworking, reliable, and determined. I would also like to join because education is very important to me , and the N.H.S. can help me later in life when planning for college.…
The life of JROTC has been growing ever since the “National Defense Act of 1916”, and will continue to prosper as long as this country stays strong. There has been a past of JROTC, a present, and there will of course be a future. To determine the future of JROTC, we must look at the past of it. According to the “JROTC Curriculum”, JROTC began in 1916 from the ‘National Defense Act of 1916.” The purpose of JROTC is to graduate high school, be good citizens by knowing and exercising the rights, responsibilities, privileges, and freedoms of good citizenship.…
They could have chosen anything else, but instead they chose to join the military. They do not join for the money, rather they join for personal reasons. Some also choose to fight sometimes because their family may have also been in the military and they choose to follow their family legacy. Some feel a deep sense…
I am determined. I am at the pinnacle of driving motivation in my life. I have overcome more obstacles in my last year of life than I have in all 16 previous to it, and I haven't just overcome them, I have crushed them. I am strong because of the challenges that have pushed me down time and time again. I am a go-getter.…
One decision that will determine my next few months. Should I re-enlist or go back to my starving family? It was a difficult decision, but the only thing I could do now is pray. Most people were vacating. after nine-months, We lived in small huts with 12 men, young women developed “scarlet fever”, which is a massive crush on the redcoats.…
When you are in JROTC you are a part of the military, but that does not make JROTC a recruiting program. Aside from being a credit in high school, there are several other benefits that can be given from joining the program. First, for people that enlist in the military after taking JROTC for at least three years, the military will take them up two pay grades and ranks. Second, many colleges give advance standing and credit for completion of the JROTC program if the person enroll in college ROTC. Third, the JROTC instructors have been very successful in helping high school students, who are interested, obtain ROTC scholarships and service academy appointments.…
There are three main reasons why serving in the armed forces after graduation is important to me. They are the opportunities I have had, the opportunities I will have, and the opportunities I will ensure for the next generation. Growing up in this 21st Century society, I’ve witnessed the beauty of this country, and the horrors that have attempted to destroy it. Though I was just a toddler on 9/11, it has played a large role in my life, and in the lives of millions of other teenagers and children growing up in a completely changed world. In this new world of national security, the US armed forces and Department of Homeland Security have evolved to ensure peace and opportunities for families and young people like myself.…
Every person trying to earn the title of a commissioned officer in the United States Army has a different reason, this is what makes our fighting force as powerful as it is, different types of people bringing different resources to the table. Some of the reasons are financial, adventure, or simply patriotism. My reason has a mixture of two different reasons, it is not one reason. My reasons are for the discipline aspect, my sense of patriotism and my personal experience with the military. My first reason, being the discipline aspect that has always attracted me since I was a small child.…
The army is important to me it gives me a sense of family and make me feel like in a part of the team. I don’t mind the pay in the army it gives me a sense of independence and makes me feel like I can spend on what I want and what I need to use to get through until the next check. The army has also has it good and bad experiences like deployment. Deployment can be only on how the person can make it like for example myself I made it hard on myself and the people I worked with because of how I lied and hindered the mission when we were being replaced. The other side was it was a good experience to see how life was in deployed environment like Afghanistan, experience some places on the road to and from Afghanistan like the food, people and the views.…
People have different reasons for continuing their education. My primary reason for continuing my education is I want to learn new things and keep abreast to changes. Another big concern of mine is that new ideas and solutions to problems are discovered every day through technology. Being that I am closing in on 50 in a couple years, the things I have learned have become out dated. So in order to be successful at anything people have to stay abreast of the things going on around them.…
