Why I Want To Be A Professional Film

Decent Essays
More than anything in the world I want to be a professional filmmaker. I want to be recognized for the complex, heart touching, and eye opening films that I put my love and passion into. The reason I want to be a filmmaker is because I feel that even when I die, the stories I create will outlast me and still be impactful to others. Film can be universal, intimate, recognizable, entertaining, educational, and significant and that is what I love so much about it. The ability to capture something and have that moment last forever is beautiful in itself to me. Since high school I have gained experience in film, and radio. Theses experience include working on several short documentaries, short films, creating podcasts, and having an internship

I loved film, theater, and television because it let people escape for a moment into a fictional world. As an actress, you could be someone else. But on the flip side, I’ve since learned that actors are really not supposed to be trying to act--they should be trying to portray real life. When I was in high school, I got involved in the theater program, but I didn’t think it could be a real career. So I went off to the university and pursued a degree in marketing and…
