Why I Want To Go To College Essay

Higher education has become essential to get ahead in the United States. Like many people, I plan on going to college to benefit myself and my community. Next fall, I am attending Missouri University of Science and Technology to study Aerospace Engineering. College will present opportunities that I otherwise would not have had. It will enable me to meet new people and make connections. All my life, space exploration has always been my passion, and obtaining higher education will enable to accomplish my dream. After graduation, I would love to work for a company whose main concentration is space exploration. This challenging field will provide me with a hefty salary that I will then use to better my community and the low income families who struggle to make a living. Throughout my life, I have witnessed many kids limit themselves and never live up to their full potential. They do not believe that they possess the ability to achieve their dreams. My goal is to support more financially incapable kids and help them receive higher education. With my well-paying job, I will have plenty of money left over to help others accomplish their goals. I will design scholarships based on financial need and potential that these students can apply for. These scholarships will give these children confidence and allow them to further their education without stressing about the overwhelming financial aspect of college. With an education, they can obtain a well-paying job and get themselves and their families out of poverty. By reducing the amount of low income families, banks will benefit.
