CPR is an important life skill when it comes to an emergency. You perform CPR when the victim is not breathing, and unconscious. You need to perform it as soon as possible after the victim stops breathing or else the end result can take their life. Having a skill that can save someone’s life is very important and a lot of people should know it. Most CPR courses are expensive but money can’t put a price on saving a life. You have to get recertified every year when you are a lifeguard because the rules change and it is that important to know the fundamentals on it. When I was a lifeguard we would practice CPR on a plastic life size person every week. The chest would recoil after every compression just like it would do in real life. You also need to know how many breaths you give the victim which is two breaths every thirty compressions. While doing CPR on someone you need to have someone else call 911. The peramedics with help you with a tool called an automated external defibrillator which is abbreviated AED if they can’t get the victim breathing
