It is not immoral to copy music because while theft of property may be immoral, copying music is not theft of property. Therefore, copying music is not immoral.

Theft is considered to be depriving the owner of the use of some piece of property. Moreover, depriving the owner of the ability to share or destroy the property. When considering the copying of music, the owner has not been deprived of using the music, nor have they been deprived of sharing or destroying the music they have created. The only thing that they have been deprived of is the ability to prohibit someone from the use of the property. Therefore, as the owner of the property is still able to benefit from, and determine the future of, said property; copying music cannot be
