Why We Should Have Shorter School Hours

If school hours was extended then the number of days we go should be reduced. I disagree with the idea of adding more hours to kids school days because that means more work and longer school days. Kids already have to spend eight long, hard, hours at school adding more hours is just redickuluse. I am sure no one wants to spend any more time at school. If they add more hours to kids school days there probably going to end up falling asleep or falling out of their seats one to the other. Longer school days could mean going to school in the dark and coming home in the dark. Some kids have chores to do when they get home. I do not agree with the idea of adding more hours to school days. If they do anything they should shorten school days. It is not fair that kids have to go to school any longer than what they do already. I feel that it is torture because if they do not go to school then kids can get in very big trouble even their parents can get in trouble. I do not think that it is a very good idea to have longer school days. Some kids could be forced to dropout of school sports due to the lack of hours in the day. Extending school hours could interfere with kids and their family. For example going to bible study or volunteering at a nursing home. Some high school kids have jobs after school to help save money up for college or help there family pay the bills. Having to stay at school any longer is a burden for some kids and their families. Having to stay at school longer could cause kids getting off the bus late and when it is dark out. Which could cause kids getting in to bed late and not getting enough sleep which could lead to health problems. It also can lead to lack of concentration in school and result in failing grades school hours could cause a lot of low felling grades and kids dropping out of
