The theme on the book ‘Winger’ by Andrew Smith is a very relatable theme to this book. The theme is ‘Bad decisions lead to bad consequences’. An example from the book would include when he drinks alcohol with the guys, and ends up getting hung-over the first day of school.
These are the reasons why believe the theme “Bad decisions lead to bad consequences” fits this book perfectly. Every instant the a person in the book does something stupid or hurtful to someone else, the end up getting punished in some way, shape, or form.
