Dr. Dawg or Dr. Waller presented within the context of their video some valid general points that are essential to the research process. An excellent point that they presented was at the onset of the video or the issues with research today and the vagueness that may be a part of the equation. Personally, a problem that I will be required to address is the number of scholarly articles that are from the 1990’s or from earlier dates. I acknowledge the validity of their research methodologies and their eventual conclusions. However, there have been contrasting developments in the past twenty-seven or less years that may present another point-of-view to their findings. In other words, vague from the time frame when the information was first authored and presented for review in correlation to our time-frame. While the general fundamentals are the same since year 1891, the game has evolved since then and will continue to evolve. As a coach, do I adhere to the basic strategies when performing my coaching duties, techniques that were originally presented? Or do I analyze the various components that are essential to the game?
