1. APPLE WATCH NOT GOOD FOR LONG-TERM PLAY
One could easily get lost in the seduction of Xbox One for hours on end, however, this addiction is not easily obtained with Apple Watch. The main reason for this is physical exhaustion. The watch itself was supposed to be a catalyst for innovation in the mobile gaming market. While this has become partly true, developers have yet to find many experiences that integrate well into a player;s life. The possibility is there, but it's far from a Xbox One.
3. NEW MARKETS ARE HARD TO JUDGE
The Xbox One has a long-standing history of success. The market is clear and well defined. For this reason, it's much easier to direct the whole operation. With the Apple Watch, however, it's main focus is not gaming. The market for mobile gaming is minute in comparison so it's hard to invest in making games. The watch is limited in screen size, power, and input controls. Developers are not familiar with this market, which makes it hard to judge and progress.
4. GOING NATIVE MAY BE THE KEY
One of the major downsides of hte Apple Watch was the lack of native apps on the device it self. Fortunately, the latest watchOS2 fixed some of these problems. The device can now run many games natively without the use of an iPhone. In aiddiont, APIs for enhanced graphics and interfaces have been upgraded. This could lead to many other OS level improvements of hte
