The text then endorses the path to truth, as a viable alternative to the common path of falsehood, when it use a physical object to mimic the process of collecting concrete facts instead of speculations and stories, represented by an abstract object. In doing so, the reader can come to realize the reality that the pursuit of truth is the most well-grounded and accurate form of acquiring knowledge. Considering every journey needs a purpose to strive for along the way, the poem reveals the diver’s objective as a way to make the two available options of acquiring information evident to the reader’s understanding. The poem achieves this…

For example, a 3-year-old may complain about his slice of pizza being smaller than his brother’s and become unhappy. Once his original slice is cut into two slices, he will think that he has “more” than his brother. The 3-year-old will focus on the number of slices he has and not the actual amount of pizza he has. Focusing only on one feature of some object rather than taking all features into consideration is called centration. Centration is one of the reasons that children in this stage often…

idea on the matter. Examining two philosophers, or more, side-by-side can provide insight into why beauty is a hard concept to grasp, but it does not examine why the philosophers either agree or disagree with one another. Kant’s Critique of Judgement attempts to specify what makes something beautiful and in doing so exposes himself to other philosophers in a way that questions his ideals. This attempt to define beauty by narrowing it down with different ideas regarding his judgement of taste…

The object that I chose to talk about that I use in everyday life is the mirror. I use the mirror everyday to see if my hair isn’t looking messy, to see if my teeth are white in the morning, and I also use it to see if there are any stains anywhere on my clothing.
