persuade and manipulate their audience into their perspective of "the real" news. Hence, this is one of the best examples of a bad ethos and how ethos can be used in various different ways. Ethos, a Greek word explained and demonstrated by a Greek philosopher Aristotle, means to show credibility and honesty within ones work or argument. Thus, with the examples "The O 'Reilly Factor", as well as "The Arete Of Amusement...", it is shown how ethos can effect ones perspective as well as the audience. In the example of "The O 'Reilly Factor" , Bill O 'Reilly tries to cut off Jeremy Glick and argue against his opinions. However, with Jeremy Glick showing good ethos as well as information, facts and common sense, he soon begins to bring attention to the audience on how Bill O 'Reilly does not approve of him even thought he is credible. Hence, this leads to O 'Reilly stating "Shut up" various amount of times throughout the interview. Of course, Jack and Bill also have more investigations to do thanks to some information that has come to light regarding Mr. Gowen. I simply adore the pairing of these two--kind of like the dynamic duo of the Old West. One has to go by the books, and the other can be a little more creative in his interpretation of the law. Together, they are invincible as they solve whatever crime or perceived crime comes their way. As Bill, Jack is handsome, rugged and certainly committed to justice at any…
