It has 352 pages and was published by The Berkley publishing Group, a member of Penguin Putnam, Inc. Brian Jacques was born in Liverpool, England and as a young boy he went to school at St. John’s school. At one time he was given an assignment to write a short story about animals and he wrote about a bird that cleaned a crocodile’s teeth.
