    “Have you decided where you think you’ll go to college yet? Do you know what you’re going to study?” “Mom, I’m still trying to decide. It’s a big decision.” “You know you don’t have much time left to figure this out right?” “I know, Mom. I’ll figure it out soon, I promise.” I couldn’t really blame my mother. She had asked me these same questions from the day I started high school to my first day of college. It wasn’t that I enjoyed seeing her worry for me, it was that I couldn’t narrow down my interests. Every school held different opportunities. Every career offered something that the other didn’t. In high school, I decided I would always be challenging myself. Everything I joined demanded something new from me, and I wanted to learn it all. I went from being someone who had never seen a tennis racquet in my life to a girl who ended her last year as captain of the varsity team. I wanted to be able to try everything, and I did. I joined groups like Mathletes and Student Council and even decided to give Theater a try at one point. But most importantly, I felt the need to be challenged in the classroom. I finished senior year taking all AP classes, graduating 5th in my class, and I loved that I had that opportunity to take demanding classes.
