The chorus of the parody mocks Hillary by reading, “Delete it Delete it so nobody else can see it” (Demand The Outdoors). The main thing that Hillary is known for and confronted about is her email scandal that she was tried for. This song parody was written to expose her scandal through a comedic song. Since the actors in the parody where dramatizing her actions it will be considered dramatic irony. When the actor is “acting dumb” on the fake news interview, that is being dramatic of her just avoiding the real question during her real life interview. Since it was a parody the directors needed to spice things up to make it interesting and satirical for the viewers. This video is horatianal because it just pokes fun at Hillary and her scandal. The song they never used vulgar language only funny little lines involving Hillary and the facts on her scandal. found Fiona in her room, he didn’t kiss her like a prince would in any other fairytale, instead, Shrek shook her awake. Also, Lord Farquaad’s need to marry a princess to become the King of Duloc makes no sense since he is already the ruler of the land. This mocks many of the classic stories found in fairytales where a prince must marry a princess to rule the land. Furthermore, at the end of the movie, the fairy turns an onion into a carriage that Shrek and Fiona would board. This is…

If advertisements were compared to side by side, a pattern of techniques to promote the products would start to emerge. Strategies such as having professionals or celebrities endorse the product and getting customers to give reviews for credibility, or using language as a tool to make claims that may or may not be true, sound convincing. “The Onion” parodies these ploys in an article in order to show how pretentious and unreliable adverts can be. To begin with, the article addresses the overused…

The film Dogma (1999) is a sarcastically filled film that centers on a woman named Bethany Sloan who is given a holy quest, so to speak, by the archangel Metatron. Metatron is the voice of God and God has deemed that Bethany is the one person who can stop two angels, Loki and Bartelby who were banished from Heaven, from cleansing themselves of their sin and re-entering Heaven. By this re-entrance of their banished souls, God would therefore be undermined and human existence would cease to exist.…

As the famous saying goes, “Bears would be bears”. Okay. That’s not a saying. But whether you like it not, no one would ever dare to stand toe-to-toe with a massive 7-footer, 500-lb, fanged, fury mammal. Even the bravest hunter would rattle in fear when a wild, hungry bear had its eyes fixed directly onto him while in ready-to-attack beast mode. Who would have thought that a fury brown grizzly would tear your apart for lunch? Freaky! But don’t worry folks. No matter how hungry and outrageous…

Parodies are commonly found in the literary world, poking fun at the original work or writing grossly exaggerated version of said original. Edith Hamilton’s “Pygmalion” has many parodies that stem from the roots of its story. It is evident that certain stories such as Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein are parodies of Edith Hamilton’s “Pygmalion.” Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein is a horrific parody of the original myth “Pygmalion.” Instead of the creator falling in…

    The Raven Parody Analysis

“The Raven” parody was one of my first and favorite parodies I had wrote during the whole school year. I’ve selected this piece for the very reason that I expressed my real feelings including my thoughts that the parody became very visionary. This activity was entertaining to work with because I got the opportunity to write about anything, but the only problem I faced was making sure the parody rhymed through the whole piece. When I look at my other pieces of writing, this piece is different…
