    Dart’s and Arrow’s. Most people do not know how the poison dart or arrow frog got its name. They are some of the most poisonous amphibians in the world the most deadly being the golden poison dart frog. Adaptation and The Poison Dart Frog’s characteristics has allowed it to survive in the jungle for many years. They have adapted to jump from place to place with ease. The reason they jump so far is because of their tendons are being stretched, to the point where they release and snap like a rubber band. This is what launches them forward. Another thing that they have adapted to is their poison to help protect them. Their poison is highly toxic. The most toxic poison dart frog is the golden poison dart frog. The frog has enough poison to kill 10 grown men. Scientists say the frogs poison is as deadly as a gun. It's because they get their poison from what they eat. They mostly eat small bugs and insects. They eat ants, beetles, spiders, termites, and flies. These things are what gives them their poison. The only thing that can eat them is the red bellied snake. This snake has developed an antidote to their poison. Their color is for a warning saying i'm poisonous. Their color is to make them stand out. They are one of the most diversely colored animals in the animal kingdom. Their color can range from gold to silver. The most common colors are red, blue, black green,and gold.
