The Importance of Being on Time: Punctuality In the professional world, punctuality is a very important skill to have. Punctuality is defined as being able to complete a required task or fulfill an obligation before or at a previously designated time. Some examples of punctuality are being on time to class or turning in assignments on time. So what happens when you are not a punctual person? Well if you are always late to your job, never turn in your assignments on time and always procrastinate, you will probably end up getting fired. So basically always be a punctual person. It is not that hard to be punctual. Some good tricks are to have an agenda or calendar, setting your clock forward 5 minutes and always planning to arrive somewhere 10-15 minutes early, just in case. If you have an agenda or calendar, you will always know when things are due at what time and if you need to be somewhere at a specific time.
