    THE PROLOGUE: Clara turns six years old today, but little does she know it's about to take a turn for the worst. Clara’s father gets out on proel today, and her mother, Dawn, has put a restraining order against him. She wouldn't let him anywhere near Clara, not now, not ever. Dawn hasn't even let Clara know about her father, as far as Clara knows, her father left you when she was one year old, and has never returned. Clara has made it through with their two best friends by her side, Emily and Addison. They've been together through thick and thin since they were little, always by each others side, if you didn't know them you’d think they were sisters. Dawn breaks out the video camera to get every moment, every smile on tape, to rewatch over the years, sitting by the fireplace watching as Clara blows out her candles, then falls face first into the cake. The video camera caught every gust of wind from the candles, every missing tooth from Clara’s smiling face as she arouse from the cake, even the black SUV in the back, driving up and down their alley way, making you think they wanted something, and based off of how many times it drove up and down, it was as if they needed it; and that they did.
