    Calvin Knights Case Study

The Calvin Knights football team has been undefeated since 1879. How is this spectacular feat possible? It has to do with the fact that Calvin does not actually have a football team. And I for one, believe it should stay that way. Despite the many sports fans at Calvin who crave one of America’s favorite past times, the school has yet to assemble a team. Both the Calvin board and others, including me, worry that creating a football team is not in the school’s best interest. The main reason Calvin should not create a football team is because it is expensive, it can harm the reputation of the school, and it steals focus away from academics. And still others may fall somewhere in between, not necessarily for nor against having one. Regardless of which side a person is on, the creation of a football team at Calvin would bring about some…

First, I helped prepare dinner and snacks before the Super Bowl. We had a variety of food from pigs in blankets to guacamole to barbecue chicken wings, some of the classic Super Bowl recipes. I watched the beginning of the game and the halftime show. They called to the field some of the MVPs from past Super Bowl winning teams. Then, Joe Montana flipped the coin and the Panthers chose tails and they won. The funniest commercial, in my opinion, was the T-Mobile commercial with Steve Harvey.…
